Correct, pay a one time fee of $20 or $25 for My-Wi on demand. My-Wi on demand automatically creates a wifi hotspot when necessary so you don't have to constantly have to switch on and off. By far one of the best reasons to jailbreak an iDevice.

There is a minor difference - the new iMacs have an ambient light sensor which will provide ideal brightness whether you are in a dark or well-lit environment.
If you manually set the brightness, does it return? Perhaps the display was set too bright/dim for the conditions?
From Apple's site: "To conserve power and relieve eyestrain, a built-in ambient light sensor automatically adjusts the screen brightness on MacBook, MacBook Pro and iMac to suit the ambient light of whatever room you�re in."

I've heard from AppleInsider that TRIM is long due to the macs and that Apple will enable TRIM support in Lion update...
After I've installed an Intel x25-m G2 SSD onto my 2010 MBP 13", the benchmarks were low compared to that on Windows platform. I also noticed the Apple's own stock SSD (mostly Toshiba or Samsung) have aggressive GC, but their read/write speeds are off compared to many decent SSD's on the market, like sandforce powered OCZ Vertex 3, or intel G3.
Funny thing is that Apple's own solid state drives has their own GC, and enables TRIM on-the-fly, as reported by Anandtech, but I wasn't very sure.
Has anyone have any ideas if and when TRIM will be implemented on macs, since it is really needed for people with SSD's in their macs?

I just found a vulnerability in the OS X password security. I can bypass the exact password as long as the password is correct up to the second to last character. For example, if the password is "Macintosh", the system will accept any of the following as valid:

I came to the same conclusion as Stella after reading both of those linked to stories. These sound just like bookmarklets, except you don't have to manually type in the javascript string. What am I missing? And don't tell me to google it -- I already tried.
Technically, modules are somehow similar to bookmarklets, but with more features and more flexibility. This means the modules are written in JavaScript code and they can do everything that can be done with JavaScript. Unlike bookmarklets, where the complete JavaScript code must be squeezed in one single line so that it can be used as a URL with “javascript” scheme, the modules can be nicely formatted, without any line limitation. Modules have a special header section where the module properties are defined. The properties include an icon that is displayed in the Modules panel of iCab Mobile, but also settings which do allow the user to configure the module in the iCab Mobile module settings panel.
That's from iCAB's website. Yes, technically it's third party code, but so is the javascript on any website. I don't really see the distinction. If malicious javascript can do damage through the modules then I don't see why it couldn't do it through the browser as well.

The iMac is a better buy if you are intending to replace your keyboard and considering upgrading your monitor.

If you're willing to spend that much then why not just get a baseline 2011 MBP?

I decided to just install it on my SSD since I want to take advantage of the speed of it. This no longer seems as buggy as it did when I installed Lion a few weeks ago and got rid of it. I can now run the VNC app "iTeleport" without problem!

In all honesty I think that's a bit harsh. Anyone who uses memcpy a lot should know what it returns (if you don't and just ignore the returned value then you don't know what you are returning which I think is very bad practice).
Except that in the case of memcpy, there is only one possible return value which it always returns.
This case is a bit different though as checking the return value would find out if malloc failed earlier, but it doesn't matter either because if malloc fails, memcpy will copy memory to NULL and the program will crash.
